eBay listing were hard to index for the search engines because of their dynamic nature. But after the necessary works by eBay to get their listings indexed by Google, the scenario probably have changed.

eBay has taken several steps to ensure that its listings are indexed by Google. It has been trying to ensure its product listing entries in Google search results and Google Product Search. Starting from 2005, eBay is sending product listings to Google.

EBay has also made its pages to conform to Google policies. Pages are set us in such a fashion that Google can crawl them. Now eBay provides site-maps feed of the View Items pages for all formats and for all countries.  It also sends a feed to Google Base.
eBay uses the Google Base API to submit the products which are present in millions in eBay. Now it is also using another measure to get the listings indexed by Google. Now individual product descriptions are replaced by some generic messages. This generic description helps Google to feed  the “description” field. Again Google has introduced a new Product Plus Box.
